Field of Light

Beautiful people, gorgeous lighting, awesome background--these are some of my favorite pictures ever! It doesn't hurt these are also some of my favorite people. It was hard narrowing it down to a reasonable amount to post. If only they lived a little closer to California!

See how much use I'm getting out of my little white chair?

The kids picked the location and asked to have another family shot here. I'd say they picked a good spot!

WOW, Lydia these are breathtaking, these would be my favorite pictures too! The sixth one from the top is my personal favorite, I'm in love with it, such creative posing...needs to be enlarged and hung above the fireplace. I also especially like the ninth one with the four kids on the bridge, so adorable.

Here's hoping this is where you comment! (Is this a blog? If so this is my first time to blog!) Okay, Lydia, you know me and my severe aversion to computers and techno stuff, and these pics are the only reason I'm on now breaking my 6 week streak computer-free. Sigh.
So I love them! You did a fabulous job! I do like the one with the kids lying down, the bridge one, though E's smile is a little forced (heavy sigh on her part!=}) the individual ones and the last one! Did you get one of the chair with the huge liveoak in the background? And how did the one come out with E and I on the chair putting her shoes on?
Thank you again for the time taking pics! WE had such a great time with you guys and think that you'd just LOVE living here near us! Love you! Charlene

Lydia, this was a fantastic shoot! I especially love the candidness of the last one with the little girl looking back at you.

Do you know what my first thought was when I saw these pictures? "Wow, she captured who these people are." Lydia, that is just the goal we were discussing for you! You really acheived it, girlfriend. Unlike so much photography I see, yours is not posed, not staged-looking, at all. The whole family just looked they were having a good time... being themselves. I am so elated about your work! And the rally, that, ahem, you didn't tell me about...Liz showed me the link, and I was so proud to see your name on that website. :) Keep up the good work!
