A Wedding Workshop From My Bed

For the past three days, when not traveling in the car, I've been spending my time being sick in bed in various towns and hotels. Thank goodness for creativeLIVE! I've been soaking in Jasmine Star's every tip, taking copious notes, and downloading sessions I wasn't able to watch live...all from my bed. Watching Jasmine shoot a wedding live was a dream come true! It's not too late to join in the fun! Tomorrow is the last day to watch live online for free, and then each session is being posted for download. Through Sunday you can even purchase these downloads at a discount--it's worth every penny! Thanks Jasmine, Chase, live audience, and crew for making this sick bed that much better!

I'm sorry you're sick...but it sounds like you had fun anyway! *wink*

I was wondering if I could ask you about photo editing systems...what would you recommend for mere-mortal, non-professional, very-amateur photographers-on-a-budget? =) I'm pricing out some of the Adobe editing software and finding myself a little lost. =)

@Carreen
Two recommendations:

Lightroom--created for a photo editing workflow, very easy to edit pictures fast

Photoshop Elements--smaller version of Photoshop that allows you to edit pictures and create a ton of various projects

I'll also add in GIMP. It's an open source program that's very similar to Photoshop. I hope this helps!

Yes, that is very helpful, thank you. Elements and Lightroom looked the most promising, but I wasn't sure. I'll also check out GIMP since I'm not familiar with it. Thanks again!

Lydia! Thank you so much for your comment on my blog! It seems like so long since we were "bumping into each other" at WPPI. Patti and I have been both catching up on the downloaded videos from the J* CreativeLive course too!

We'd really love to go to WPPI this coming February, but there are some much needed investments for the business that take precedence. It would be so fun to see you again!

I saw you and your ShootSac on their blog!

Talk to you later!
