In the past, I've often loved the idea of organization more than actually being organized. But as 2014 drew near, I knew I wanted to change some things in the coming year. Enter, Emily Ley's Simplified Planner! I knew making an investment would help me to value and really use it! And it being pretty to look at doesn't hurt either. ;-)
Using The Big List from last year, each night I write up a "to do" list for the next day in my planner. A mix of daily activities and small steps to complete bigger projects, even the most busy days can see a little progress toward my bigger goals!
More things to love:
-an inspiring quote at the top of each day, which appeals to my quote-loving soul!
-a section to record a happy memory for the week
-dinner planning
-a list for memories you want to make during the year
I also added something else to my arsenal. What Emily would call a Simplified Life Binder. Basically it holds all my loose sheets for blog post planning, topic brainstorming, fitness tracking, etc. While I have bunches of binders for all sorts of things, this one is for things I refer to on a continual basis. It also houses my Lara Casey PowerSheets (another post for another day!) to remind me of my goals for the year and keep track of my progress!
So while I still might not be the most organized person, I somehow managed to get this blog post up on a Monday, which is amazing for me! What about you? Have any tips for wrangling your papers and "to do" list?
